The Red Hots

The Red Hots rock, swing, woo and dazzle audiences all over the tri-state area with their musical versatility and talent. As a duo, Petra Herceg and Cynthia Preston wow audiences with amazing vocals, tight harmonies and an eclectic playlist that is as interesting as they are beautiful. Amazingly precise with just two voices, a ukulele and a guitar, they are as equally comfortable fronting a full band delivering classic re-do’s of timeless pieces of music that were beginning to be lost to the ages, particularly old blues, jazz, ragtime and rockabilly. Discovering that audiences loved their retro-stylized covers they introduced their own originals into the mix making them just as popular. Building their career in local venues, these ladies have now moved to larger venues and upscale private events with rave reviews. Stay tuned for more information on musical residencies, festivals, stage shows and brand new recordings coming soon from Red Room Sound Studio in Torrington CT, produced by Mick Connolly.
Petra, Cynthia and the band began re-imagining and re-doing classic, timeless pieces of music that were beginning to be lost to the ages, particularly old blues, jazz, ragtime and rockabilly. Mixing the retro-stylized covers in with their own eclectic sound, The Red Hots began gigging at local places around Connecticut, experimenting with their sound and musical elements. After dabbling with various instruments and line-ups, the band has solidified their image as a tight-knit trio, expanding their live performances all the way to NYC festivals and private parties at the Jersey shore, as well as becoming a well-known act in their hometown. Their adaptability has become their coup de grace, able to play anything from low key acoustic shows in wine bars and lounges, to swingin’ and jivin’ upbeat sets in bars and rock venues.
The Red Hots recently opened for kings of swing, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy at The Ridgefield Playhouse, in Ridgefield CT and have played their own special Valentine's Dinner show, as well as several featured shows, at Daryl's House Club in Pawling, NY. They haveopened for Heart, the Dave Matthews Band and Hootie and the Blowfish at the Xfinity Theater in Hartford and completed our 2019 Autumn Tour with dates in Virginia, Washington DC and Nashville.
The band will be a featured act at the Litchfield Hills Creative Day at Coe Park, Torrington CT in August 2021 and will be releasing an original single in late summer and a revamped Holiday Classic for holiday radio programming in the fall.
