Mike Cobb

Mike Cobb has been performing since 1990. While attending the University of Oregon in 1993, Cobb founded The Lincoln Brigade, who were signed to Island Records (Bob Marley, U2, Tom Waits) and opened for British band Oasis on their first US tour.
Originally from Norfolk, CT, Mike has performed at Infinity Hall, Norbrook Brewery, The Norfolk Farmer’s Market, The Norfolk Library, The Norfolk Country Club, Black Bear Music Festival, 41 Bridge Street in Collinsville, CT, The Egremont Barn, Fuel Cafe in Great Barrington, CBGB's, The Knitting Factory, and countless venues great and small in New York, Oregon, California, & Spain.
Cobb leads the "Eclecticana" rock group The Deep North, The Crevulators, and the bluegrass trio The Haystack Mountain Boys. He cites Bob Dylan, The Band, CCR, The Beatles, The Stones, and Los Lobos as major influences but loves all music with soul from classic to contemporary groups.
Cobb is also a music writer and has published articles in Spanish rock magazines Ruta 66 and Mondo Sonoro, and in English for Shindig!, The NYC Jazz Record, NYPress, Chronogram, The Artful Mind, The Litchfield Times, Elmore and more.
